The CIA's fight against drug trafficking between Mexico and the United States has escalated since drug cartels began infiltrating terrorists across the American border.
To combat the narcos, federal agent Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) will have to recruit the mysterious and impenetrable Alejandro (Benicio Del Toro), whose family was wiped out by a cartel boss. Alejandro will unleash a full-blown, uncontrollable gang war in a mission that becomes deeply personal for him.
