Hollywood Masterpieces on the Italian Big Screen

Leone Film Group is an independent film and audiovisual production and distribution company, a leader in Italy. It was founded by Sergio Leone in 1989. Listed on the AIM Italia market in 2013, the majority shareholders are the director's children, Andrea and Raffaella Leone.

It has brought box office successes, both Italian and international, to cinemas, including: Wonder, The Post, The Wolf of Wall Street, La La Land, The Hateful Eight, Rush, Perfetti Sconosciuti, La Pazza Gioia and A Casa Tutti Bene.

Sergio Leone founds Leone Film Group

2001

Entering the film distribution market with the film Traffic

2009

Begins production with the film Generazione Mille Euro

2012

Signs an output deal with Dream Works (Ambin/Storyteller)

2013

Signs an output deal with Lionsgate's Summit group until June 30, 2019

2013

Listing on AIM Italia

2014

Acquires Lotus Production, Marco Belardi's production company

2015

Launches international executive production with John Wick 2

2016

Produces his first Italian television series, Immaturi - La Serie

2018

Wonder, grossing 12.3 million euros, becomes the company's highest-grossing film, surpassing The Wolf of Wall Street's 12 million.

2019

Green Book wins Best Picture Oscar

2019

Signs a multi-year deal with Amazon for the first-run window of all LFG films

2020

Gabriele Muccino's *Gli anni più belli* was released in cinemas to tremendous box office success, but its run was cut short due to cinema closures caused by Covid-19.

2021

“Time is up” by Lotus wins the Golden Ticket Award for the year's highest-attended event release.

2022

“Sergio Leone: The Italian Who Invented America” is presented at the Venice Film Festival in the Classics section

2023

Distribution is back in full swing with 11 films, including the hits “John Wick 4,” “Killers of the Flower Moon,” and “Ferrari.”

2023

The first original series produced by Lotus and Compagnia Leone, “The Lions of Sicily,” launches on Disney+.

2024

Our distribution activities are expanding with the launch of the themed channels "C'era una volta..." and "Leone Film Max" on Prime Video Store.

2025

Il successo di Follemente: conquista il Biglietto d'Oro e si consacra come il film con il più alto incasso della storia di Lotus Production.

2025

Nuovo assetto societario: a settembre si perfeziona l'ingresso di LMDV nella compagine societaria, inaugurando una nuova fase di crescita strategica per il Gruppo.

2026

Paper Tiger a Cannes: il film viene presentato al Festival di Cannes, segnando ufficialmente il debutto della prima produzione internazionale di Leone Film Group.
