Adam suffers from visual hallucinations and lives surrounded by imaginary friends who appear at the most inconvenient times. Expelled halfway through his senior year of high school due to an incident during chemistry class, he transfers to a private school to finish the year. Adam has little hope of fitting in and just wants to keep his ongoing visions a secret until he graduates and can enroll in culinary school. But when he meets Maya (Taylor Russell, Escape Room), who is outspoken and incredibly intelligent, an instant connection forms that he can't resist. As their love story grows, she pushes him to open his heart and not withdraw because of his condition. With the love and support of both his girlfriend and his family, Adam fights for the first time to overcome his struggles and face the challenges ahead.
