Penélope Cruz will play Olga, a writer forced to abandon her artistic ambitions when her husband suddenly leaves her and their two young daughters, in Isabel Coixet's English-language adaptation of Elena Ferrante's acclaimed novel "The Days of Abandonment." The film will be produced by Lotus Production, by Cruz herself with her production company Moonlyon, and by her brother Edu Cruz and Marco Perego through their Nimoa Entertainment.
