Based on a true story, The Wolf of Wall Street follows the spectacular rise and fall of Jordan Belfort (played by three-time Academy Award® nominee Leonardo DiCaprio), the New York stockbroker who amassed an incredible fortune by defrauding millions of investors. The film chronicles Belfort's wild ride, a young Wall Street newcomer who gradually transforms into a corrupt market manipulator and a stock market cowboy. Having quickly amassed enormous wealth, Jordan uses it to acquire an endless array of aphrodisiacs: women, cocaine, cars, a supermodel wife, and a legendary life of limitless aspirations and acquisitions. But while Belfort's company, Stratton Oakmont, is riding high and wallowing in extreme hedonistic gratification, the SEC and FBI are keeping a close eye on his empire of excess.
