It began its unstoppable run at the 2016 Venice Film Festival, amidst a shower of applause, autograph rushes, and enthusiastic reviews, and entered legend: beyond its box office success (over 150 million dollars in the United States and nearly 300 million in other countries, including about 7.5 million in Italy), Damien Chazelle's La La Land, starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, brought cinema back to the center of the cultural stage, thanks to the magic of a timeless story that transcended the boundaries of the big screen. From the soundtrack to the costumes, from the actors to the locations, from the choreography to the directorial style, everything in La La Land became iconic.
