Once Upon a Time, Sergio Leone

The Cinémathèque française in Paris, the world's largest archive dedicated to cinema, is dedicating a major retrospective to Sergio Leone, which began on October 10, 2018, and runs until January 27, 2019. Screenings of his films (including those he produced), meetings with critics, and conferences will follow one another in a continuous tribute to the director who took the codes of the Western, rewrote the genre, and was, in turn, immortalized by it. Beyond films and discussions, there will also be a permanent exhibition featuring personal items belonging to Leone, who passed away in 1989: his passport, original volumes from his library, paintings that adorned his home and studio, original parts of sets from his famous films, and even gifts received from actors he directed.
